Spyros Rayias CMC, CPEng - General Manager and a Senior Management Consultant of MKR Mansystems Business Consultants Ltd. Mr. Rayias is a seasoned Management Consultant and Engineer, with over 25 years work experience in a wide range of Companies, including Government and Semi-Government Organisations. Holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Industrial Engineering and Operations Research) from the University of Minnesota - USA and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Quality Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology - Australia.
Participated as Lead Consultant / Project Manager in more than four hundred (400) projects in the areas of Corporate and Strategic Development, Business Planning, Organisational Development, Project Financing, Project Management of European Programs, Tourism Development Projects, Feasibility Studies, Advising on the Acquisition of Private Companies, Human Resource Development, Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001/TQM/ISO 17025/ISO 15189), Health & Safety Systems (OHSAS 18001), Environmental Management Systems(ISO 14001), Risk Assessment Studies, CE Marking and Operations and production Management. Furthermore Mr. Rayias has gained significant consulting and counceling experience from his participation as a Project Manager in co-financed European programs of the European Social Fund, relating to strengthening the competitiveness and productivity of more than 600 SMEs. In his professional career he has presented more than 500 seminars and workshops and is a member in a number of institutions as following:
• Certified Management Consultant (CMC) with the Cyprus Institute of Certified Management Consultants (CICMC), which is a member of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI).
• Member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus and Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia
• Member of the Project Management Institute (UK)
• A registered Lead Assessor of Quality Management Systems with the Institute of Quality Assurance (IRCA) - UK and former member of Quality Society Australasia (QSA) – Australia (The first Lead Assessor to be Registered in Cyprus since 1993).
• Accredited Consultant with the Institute of Technology and the Human Resource Development Authority and the Department of Labour in the areas of Management, Human Resource Development, Quality Management, Production, Design, Environmental Management Systems and Health & Safety issues respectively.
• Extensive experience as a Counselor for SME’s (European Program for the Development of SME’s).
• Extensive knowledge of the local business environment and can facilitate investors in locating attractive investments in the area of Tourism and Energy.
